RMHC Families Thank Canadians for Their Support through Song

Families who’ve stayed at Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada are thanking Canadians for their generous support through a unique collaboration with world-renowned Canadian community-based choir, Choir!Choir!Choir!.

Many Canadians are unaware that they’ve helped over 25,000 families staying at Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms this year by simply visiting McDonald’s restaurants.

Every day, Canadians support RMHC families by purchasing a Happy Meal or an RMHC Cookie, by giving at donation boxes and through the kiosks, and by visiting McDonald’s on McHappy Day. In fact, Canadians’ generous giving has allowed us to provide more support to families with sick children than ever before – tonight 506 families will stay with RMHC across Canada.

“Ronald McDonald House provided my family and me with a sense of normalcy which is all I could’ve really asked for during such a complicated time in my life. I really couldn’t be more thankful. It really is a great place where I can still feel comfortable even if I’m not feeling or looking my best.” – Emma Collins, 18, 2x Cancer Warrior who stayed at RMHC Toronto for 272 nights

“Canadians’ giving is at the heart of RMHC and our ability to provide a home for families to stay in while their sick child is being treated at a nearby hospital. While each individual gift may seem small, collectively they add up to make an important difference for families when they need it most. ”  – Cathy Loblaw, CEO of RMHC Canada

“Both of us feel a strong responsibility to making our community stronger and being part of things that help other people. Collaborating with RMHC was a natural fit and we feel lucky to have been in a room making music for such an incredible cause – and the song With a Little Help from my Friends by The Beatles couldn’t have been more perfect.” – Daveed Goldman, co-founder Choir!Choir!Choir!.
