Scott C. Pansky, Co-Founder, Allison+Partner, Receives PRSA’s 2022 David Ferguson Award

PRSA, the nation’s leading professional organization serving the communications community, and PRSA Educators Academy presented Scott C. Pansky, Co-Founder at Allison+Partners and Co-Lead of the agency’s Purpose Center of Excellence, with the 2022 PRSA David Ferguson Award during an awards ceremony at PRSA’s ICON 2022, taking place in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The award recognizes a PRSA member and practitioner who has made outstanding contributions to public relations education.

“As an educational partner, Scott understands the needs from the academic side and he fuses that with what PR pros want from new graduates,” said Dr. Kaye D. Sweetser, APR+M, Fellow PRSA, who nominated Pansky for the award. “Together we find solutions to forge those rookie practitioners. This isn’t new to Scott. Remarkably, Scott’s contributions have grown in tandem with his career. The past year itself has built on all the lessons learned and partnerships created over Scott’s 30-year career.”

“I am honored to win this prestigious award and want to thank PRSA and Dr. Sweetser for her nomination,” said Pansky, “I want to honor the memory of Glen Broom whose mission as an instructor at SDSU was to help students find career opportunities. I have had great mentors in this industry including my partner, Scott Allison, Dave Nuffer and Elizabeth Pecsi that helped me build my career and my goal is to help the next generation of professionals.”

Pansky is a Purpose Practice Leader with more than 30 years of professional experience in strategic communications, public affairs, government relations, media relations, cause-related marketing, sponsorship, nonprofit services and board training, and has led numerous successful public affairs, corporate and nonprofit social impact campaigns. Pansky has taught hundreds of nonprofits through UCLA Extension courses and at conferences around the country as a national expert on cause marketing and social impact. His true passion has been mentoring students across the country through PRSSA and an array of colleges including San Diego State University, Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Cal Poly Pomona, Chapman University, University of Southern California, Bucknell, Hampton University and Marquette
