Law firm Sharpe Pritchard has become a certified B Corporation (B Corp), joining a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
Verified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, B Corp Certification involves an assessment of the entirety of the firm’s operations and covers governance, staff, community, the environment and clients.
The certification process is demanding, with companies required to provide evidence on performance while legally embedding their commitment to purpose as well as profit in their governance procedures.
Sharpe Pritchard is now part of a growing community of over 10,700 businesses globally that are certified as B Corps. The B Corp community in the UK is the largest and fastest-growing in the world, with over 2,700 companies spanning a range of different industries and sizes.
Timothy Farr, Managing Partner at Sharpe Pritchard, said: “B Corp certification is a meaningful marker of how we want to run the firm. It reinforces our commitment to operate responsibly, to be transparent about our impact, and to keep improving. For our public sector clients and partners, it provides an independently recognised benchmark that supports trust and long-term relationships.”
B Corp certification sits alongside Sharpe Pritchard’s wider Sustainability and Net Zero programme and its approach to responsible business governance.
