Arsenal save 500,000 single-use plastic cups from being chucked away

In partnership with local company Camden Town Brewery, Arsenal became the first Premier League club to introduce a reusable cup scheme last season, which now saves approximately 20,000 cups per game. The scheme has received great backing from supporters, who have utilised the purpose-built collection points around Emirates Stadium to ensure each cup reaches its maximum life of 200 uses. “It’s fantastic that Arsenal’s reusable cup scheme has already prevented hundreds of thousands of disposable plastic cups being landfilled or incinerated,” commented Friends of the Earth plastics campaigner, Tony Bosworth.…
