Comcast announced the issuance of a $1 billion 10-year green bond, offering investors the opportunity to support environmental efforts such as those currently underway or under consideration as part of Comcast’s goal to be carbon neutral by 2035. Comcast RISE to Award $1 Million in Grants to Small Businesses Owned by Women and People of Color in Cook County

Comcast has announced it will award $10,000 grants to 100 small businesses owned by women and people of color in Cook County through its Comcast RISE Investment Fund. Cook County is one of five locations selected for this new round of the grants program. Other locations include Miami, Oakland, Seattle and Washington D.C. Comcast announced an agreement to purchase 250 megawatts (MW) of solar electricity from Constellation that will power approximately 12 percent of its U.S. operations and the vast majority of its Mid-Atlantic operations with clean, renewable energy.
