Responding to the Equalities and Human Rights Commission guidance recently, Samaritans remind the trans community that support is out there if they are struggling. Hayley Peters, Head of Culture & Inclusion at Samaritans, said: “Samaritans volunteers reported a significant spike in suicidal callers from the trans community when the Supreme Court ruling on the definition of sex was made last April, with call rates increasing by 40 percent. We’re concerned about the impact this news could have and urge anyone struggling to reach out for support if they need it.”…
