Fundraising Regulator publishes Complaints Report 2018/19

Direct mail overtook door-to-door as the most complained about method of fundraising among the biggest charities in 2018-19, a report from regulator has found. The Fundraising Regulator published its annual Complaints Report today, looking at complaints received both by the regulator itself and by 58 charities that spend more than £5m a year on fundraising. Fundraising Regulator publishes new Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Act 2016 guidance

To prepare charities for the reporting year ahead, the Fundraising Regulator has published new guidance to help charities fully comply with the fundraising reporting requirements in the Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Act 2016 (the Act). New fundraising code published

The newly improved Code of Fundraising Practice has just been published by the Fundraising Regulator, and will come into effect in October 2019. The changes are designed to make it easier for fundraisers, charities and third-party organisations to understand the standards expected of them when fundraising.
