UNESCO’s Global Education Coalition pledged to support Ukraine’s efforts to provide on-line learning and psycho-social counselling to students and teachers in the country during a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Education and officials from the Ministry on 15 March 2022. Uber extends its commitment to the work of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) by offering 1 million rides to teachers around the world to and from vaccination appointments to support the reopening of schools and to protect teachers and their communities. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the largest school closures and education disruption in history, with more than 1.5 billion students affected at the height of the crisis.
