Human Appeal reaches over 862,000 people with food, water and life-saving emergency response amid ongoing Sudan conflict

One of the UK’s leading humanitarian aid charities, Human Appeal, announces that it has to date supported over 862,000 people who have fled the current conflict across Sudan and Chad.   Human Appeal remains at the forefront of the humanitarian response, delivering urgent, life-saving assistance to displaced and conflict-affected communities both inside Sudan and across its borders. It has delivered over 2,180 food parcels alone since the start of 2026. With thousands of families fleeing violence in El Fasher and wider Darfur, many have sought safety in neighbouring Chad under extremely harsh conditions.  In Bami Jura Camp, Human Appeal has been distributing parcels to Sudanese refugees, who are currently living in makeshift shelters. Leading UK humanitarian aid charity, Human Appeal, recently announced the launch of a new subsidiary, The Waqf Fund, to increase long-term charitable funds for its worldwide projects. Waqf, an Islamic endowment that involves the permanent transfer of wealth for a charitable purpose, is a common form of good deed recommended in Islamic teachings (Sunnah practice). New Research highlights significant BAME contribution as the backbone of UK Volunteering

Human Appeal, one of the UK’s fastest growing NGOs, recently released new research which highlights the scale of BAME [i] contributions to the UK volunteer community. In particular, the research reveals the detrimental impact of the cost-of-living crisis on the BAME volunteering community with 38% reducing their volunteering hours over the past 12 months as a direct result of rising costs.
