The Human Rights Campaign Foundation released new data highlighting how the LGBTQ+ community, particularly Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and Latinx LGBTQ+ adults, have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic across various facets of life. The report, conducted in partnership with Community Marketing and Insights (CMI) with support from The Rockefeller Foundation, found that BIPOC LGBTQ+ respondents were twice as likely to test positive more than once compared to white LGBTQ+ respondents. The Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) civil rights organization has released the 2021 Annual Report from the Welcoming Schools Program. The inaugural Welcoming Schools Annual Report exhibits marked growth and expanded equitable access to virtual PreK-12 training opportunities for educators across the country and internationally.
