Puro.earth is the eighth program to be approved as CCP-Eligible, the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) announced today. The approval applies to the most recent version of the Puro.earth standard (version 4.2). CCP-Eligible status means that programs have demonstrated that they meet the rigorous criteria of the Core Carbon Principles (CCPs) Assessment Framework for effective governance, transparency, tracking and robust independent third-party validation and verification. The sustainable agriculture category encompasses improved agricultural practices aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and enhancing Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) removals. It includes a wide range of different practices such as reduced tillage and improved residue management, crop rotation, improved grazing activities, optimized fertilizer use, and improved water/irrigation management. Integrity Council launches Asia Pacific hub; partners with National Climate Change Secretariat and Singapore Economic Development Board

The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market has launched its first overseas office – an Asia Pacific hub in Singapore – in partnership with the Singapore Economic Development Board.   The hub is also the Integrity Council’s first physical office, since its global team operates fully remotely.
