Marston’s partners with Two Blues Solar on major solar rollout across 120 of its pub rooftops

Marston’s has partnered with renewable energy solutions provider Two Blues Solar and installer Nuvolt to deploy solar across 120 of the Group’s community-based pubs over the next 12 months. The £5.4m investment, fully financed by Atrato Onsite Energy, operates through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), a long-term contract in which Marston’s purchases 100% of the renewable energy generated on its roofs rather than owning the solar equipment. Marston’s Pledges to Remove ½ Million Plastic Bottles from Business

Following a successful 18 months of sustainability firsts for the business including; Zero Waste to Landfill, increased recycling rate and the commitment to introduce 200 electric car charging points across pubs, Marston’s is now committing to remove its annual use of nearly ½ million plastic bottles from its 60 inns by the end of 2019.
