Vattenfall and Air Liquide sign long-term electricity supply agreement for offshore wind

Air Liquide has signed its largest long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to date in the Netherlands with Vattenfall, for 115 MW or around 500 GWh per year, of renewable electricity from the offshore wind farm Hollandse Kust Zuid. This PPA comes in addition to a 100 GWh-PPA with Air Liquide announced in March 2021, expanding the long-term partnership. The 15-year PPA starting in 2025 enables Air Liquide to supply its existing industrial and medical gas production assets in the Netherlands and more generally in the Benelux region with renewable energy.…

bp, Aker and Statkraft join forces for offshore wind in the Norwegian North Sea

bp has agreed to join Statkraft and Aker Offshore Wind in a ‎consortium bidding to develop offshore wind energy in Norway. The partnership – in which bp, Statkraft and Aker Offshore Wind will each hold a 33.3% ‎share – will pursue a bid to develop offshore wind power in the Sørlige Nordsjø II (SN2) ‎licence area. SN2’s favourable location provides power export access to local and adjacent markets. Northumbrian Water and Ørsted energy deal is a UK first

Northumbrian Water has signed a long-term agreement with Danish renewable energy specialist Ørsted that will see the water company take almost a third of its renewable energy demand from an offshore wind farm.
