The Public Relations and Communications Association has announced the line-up of its PR and Communications Council for 2023. The Council’s 2022 Vice Chair, Claire Williamson, Managing Director, Resonance will become Chair of Council from January. PR practitioners less likely to take time off for mental health than other UK workers

PR professionals are significantly less likely to take time off work to rest and recover from poor mental health compared to other UK workers, according to new research carried out by the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). The Public Relations and Communications Associations’ (PRCA) Public Affairs Board has welcomed a report from the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee (PACAC) recommending tougher laws governing MPs appointments in the private sector. The PACAC report recommends all senior officials be required to sign a legally binding agreement compelling them to adhere to rules outlined by the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments (ACOBA) for two years after they leave office.
