The RNLI has revealed their brand-new lifeboat station as part of the Western Docks Revival Scheme in Dover. The newly completed station has a larger shop and visitor area as well as up to date changing facilities for the volunteer crew who operate their all-weather Severn class lifeboat City of London II from the pontoon alongside. The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has released its gender pay gap figures, in line with national regulations. The gender pay gap at the RNLI is -1.5%, based on an average hourly rate (the mean average) for men and women employed by the charity in Great Britain. This means, on average, women at the RNLI are paid 1.5% more than men. This equates to 28 pence more per hour.
