UNESCO and Switzerland announce funding is in place to begin rehabilitating Beirut’s iconic Sursock Palace

As part of its flagship initiative LiBeirut, UNESCO has announced an agreement with the Swiss Federal Office of Culture and the Sursock Palace Association to finance the first phase of the rehabilitation of the Sursock Palace. The iconic building, which dates from 1860 was severely impacted by the port blasts on 4 August 2020.
