Survey: Nearly One-Third of Seniors Don’t Feel Socially Engaged

New findings from leading health and well-being company Humana Inc. show that nearly one-third (31 percent) of Americans aged 65 and older say they don’t feel socially engaged. However, a majority of respondents say it is important to establish social connections, including friendships (85 percent), companionships (61 percent) and romantic relationships (22 percent). A new survey by Ørsted has revealed that 73% of UK consumers would choose products from companies that use renewable energy over those that don’t. The consumer attitudes survey was conducted on behalf of global offshore wind leader and business energy retailer Ørsted. The survey explores attitudes towards the purchase of goods from supermarkets, as well as food and beverages, clothing, electronics and beauty products. Cancer Research UK Survey Shows Beliefs in fake causes of cancer is rife

Mistaken belief in mythical causes of cancer is rife according to new research jointly funded by Cancer Research UK and published today in the European Journal of Cancer. Researchers at University College London (UCL) and the University of Leeds surveyed 1,330 people in England and found that more than 40% wrongly thought that stress (43%) and food additives (42%) caused cancer. According to a new study, animal welfare is the most popular cause for Americans in 2018, followed by children’s education and hunger.
