UK steelmaking could be jeopardised unless new, clean technologies are progressed, EAC argues

With new technologies to decarbonise steelmaking, the Environmental Audit Committee (EAC) has said that domestic UK steel production will be at risk unless the Government develops its strategy to encourage more research and development in emerging decarbonised technologies.
