Unity Trust Bank has announced the appointment of Matt Conroy as its Head of Impact Propositions, as it continues to invest in services that enable customers to deliver positive change. Matt has more than 30 years’ experience working in commercial banking, including roles at Allied Irish Bank and Triodos Bank. Unity Trust Bank, the award-winning UK social impact bank, has continued to deliver positive impact where it matters with its half-year results showing a record level of lending going into areas of high deprivation. Unity committed over £140m in funding in the first six months of 2025 (HY 24: £62.8m), with 59% (HY 24: 40%) directed towards disadvantaged communities. Unity is sponsoring the BCFA’s ‘Green Innovation Fund’, which supports the sustainability efforts of local grassroots football clubs through green project funding.
