Charlotte Tilbury Beauty has established a new three-year partnership with The Prince’s Trust to provide significant funding to create a multi layered programme of support for The Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme, a life changing scheme that has helped over 90,000 young people to unleash their entrepreneurial dreams.
As part of the new partnership, The Trust is delighted to announce Charlotte Tilbury MBE, British beauty entrepreneur and Founder of Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, as a Prince’s Trust Ambassador for Enterprise (UK and International). Charlotte will work closely with The Trust to advocate, mentor, inspire – and use her global platform to further spread the impactful work of The Trust in supporting the next generation of business leaders.
The bespoke partnership between The Prince’s Trust and Charlotte Tilbury Beauty will support, mentor and inspire hundreds of young people with the fundamentals to establish a successful start-up business. Through the Enterprise programme, the young entrepreneurs will have access to Charlotte Tilbury Beauty global teams who can offer valuable knowledge and expertise across key areas of the business. Those taking part in the programme will be offered the opportunity to tap into industry leading talent of the Charlotte Tilbury teams including technology, product development, marketing & communications and finance, to help bring their own business ambitions to life.
The partnership between The Prince’s Trust and Charlotte Tilbury Beauty represents a shared belief in the transformative power of unlocking inner confidence. The two organisations join forces at a critical time to support a generation of young people impacted by the pandemic. In the face of disruption to their education and to the job market, as well as isolation from professional support networks, young people need help to unlock their confidence, tap into their potential and pursue their dreams – now more than ever./p>
Dame Martina Milburn DCVO CBE, Group Chief Executive at The Prince’s Trust said:
“We are delighted to announce this partnership with Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. It will enable The Prince’s Trust to support more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to start their own businesses.
We know from working with young people facing adversity, that the opportunity to set up their own business can help to overcome the barriers they face by improving confidence, offering independence and the ability to build a successful future. Alongside the funding, invaluable insights and expertise from Charlotte and her team on how she set up a successful, world-renowned company, will be essential in helping to achieve this.”
The partnership follows a recent visit by Charlotte Tilbury MBE, Founder and CEO Demetra Pinsent, Chief Executive Officer at Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, to The Trust’s South London Centre. Here they met young entrepreneurs who had been supported by the Enterprise programme to set up their own businesses.
Charlotte Tilbury MBE Founder of Charlotte Tilbury Beauty said:
Almost 10 years ago, I made my dreams a reality when I launched my brand, Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. It was a life-changing moment, and the start of an incredible journey that has allowed me to fulfil my purpose of unlocking confidence in everyone, everywhere. I believe that enterprise can create opportunity, and that is why I am so passionate about supporting The Prince’s Trust, and the life-changing efforts of The Princes Trust Enterprise Programme – which works tirelessly to bring to life the dreams of our next generation of entrepreneurs.
“For over 45 years, The Princes Trust, founded and led by The HRH Prince of Wales, has worked with hundreds of thousands of young people to unlock confidence and create that opportunity. So today, I am honoured to be named a Prince’s Trust Ambassador for Enterprise – and I hope my story and the story of Charlotte Tilbury Beauty will inspire and empower young people around the world to follow their dreams too.
“Unlocking confidence sits at the heart of Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, and our partnership with The Princes Trust represents a shared belief that everyone, everywhere should have access to the tools required to improve life outcomes and can make dreams come true. I always say, ‘DARE TO DREAM IT, DARE TO BELIEVE IT, DARE TO DO IT!’- a motto that I have used to build Charlotte Tilbury Beauty into the global beauty brand it is today – and one that I want to pass on to the young people involved in The Princes Trust Enterprise Programme.
“Earlier this year, our CEO Demetra and I were lucky enough to spend time with a brilliant group of young people who have been supported by The Enterprise Programme. Their ability to overcome adversity and to achieve great things was humbling, I am so proud to join the team at The Princes Trust – I can’t wait to be inspired by the energy and the creativity of the young people I will work with over the coming years!”
Demetra Pinsent, Chief Executive Officer, Charlotte Tilbury Beauty said:
“We’re very excited to be forging a partnership with the Prince’s Trust. As entrepreneurs ourselves, the work that The Trust does to support ambitious business-builders through the Enterprise programme is very close to our hearts.
“Unfortunately, too many young people today do not have access to the opportunities, resources and mentorship needed to achieve their professional ambitions, especially with the added impact of the pandemic. When Charlotte and I met the young ambassadors from the Enterprise Programme, we were moved by their stories and inspired by their achievements. It is of paramount importance to us that everyone has the opportunity to be the most confident, beautiful and successful version of themselves.
“We look forward to seeing how our partnership can help turn more brilliant ideas into real business success stories.”
Kyle Frank, who started his organic skincare business Franks Remedies with The Prince’s Trust support was at the visit and said:
“Hearing from her, Lady Demetra and the wider Charlotte Tilbury team was invaluable, and I was offered advice on the day which I know I will be using in the future.”
