IKEA UK and Ireland have announced the removal of all single-use plastic straws from its product range and restaurants by 1st October 2018, as part of its vision to have a positive impact on people and the planet. IKEA will also be looking at possible replacements for use by people with diabilities. FareShare awarded grants from the Government’s Food Waste Reduction Fund

FareShare is celebrating being one of eight charities to be awarded grants from the Government’s £500,000 Food Waste Reduction Fund. Ethics Panel delivers recommendations for use of facial recognition

An independent panel that advises London’s City Hall on the ethics of policing has issued a series of recommendations in a report examining the Metropolitan Police’s use of facial recognition technology. The Met has been trialling live facial recognition technology to understand how effective it will be in supporting police operations.
