Survey finds most people recognise public spending alone cannot solve social issues in the UK

Following last years Chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s Autumn Statement, 65% of UK adults say government spending alone is not enough to solve social issues in their local area, according to new research from Big Society Capital. 58% of the 2,000 surveyed also say that social issues including homelessness and community transport are better delivered by businesses and charities based in their local community rather than larger national organisations. Subak launches £20m fundraise to scale critical NFP climate work worldwide

Global climate tech accelerator and regranter Subak has announced its latest funding round targeting £20million.  The fundraise will help the organisation to expand to a total of eight data-led climate centres (‘nodes’) across six continents by 2025. Invesco responds to the Winter fuel crisis and cost of living increase with charity donations

The Invesco Cares Foundation has announced substantial donations to two carefully considered charities supporting people in need through the winter. As a result of the current fuel crisis and the increasing cost of living, the Invesco Cares Committee has decided to split £185,000 equally between two charities: the Trussell Trust and the Fuel Bank Foundation.
