Tesco ditches plastic laundry pod tubs in favour of recyclable cardboard packs

Recently Tesco has replaced the plastic tubs its laundry detergent pods are sold in with new recyclable cardboard packaging. The move into card will save 252 tonnes of plastic annually, and over four million pieces of plastic across eight lines. The box contains more than 90% recycled cardboard, and is FSC certified, with a thin plastic liner inside to protect the pods. UK new light commercial vehicle (LCV) registrations end the year down -20.6% following significant post-pandemic fleet renewal in 2021 and supply chain challenges. 16,744 battery electric vans (BEV) registered in 2022, representing 5.9% of all vans joining UK roads last year. Portion size is the main reason for plate waste when we eat out

A new report from international climate action NGO, WRAP, highlights valuable opportunities for the Hospitality and Food Service sector to reduce the amount of food left on customers plates, but still offer value for money for diners. WRAP’s report, conducted in July 2022, provides new insights into customer behaviours and attitudes to food waste when dining out.
