Comcast NBCUniversal Announces $2.475 Million in Unrestricted Grants to 81 Nonprofits

On Aug. 16, Comcast NBCUniversal and NBCUniversal Local awarded $2.45 million to 81 nonprofit organizations through NBCUniversal’s Local Impact Grants. The nonprofit organizations, located in 11 communities that are served by NBC and Telemundo owned stations, are helping to improve their local communities. Bacardi, ecoSPIRITS and Carnival Cruise Line Partner To Reduce Single-Use Glass at Sea

Family-owned spirits company Bacardi is launching a new initiative to introduce closed-loop packaging to the cruise industry this month, through a collaboration with Carnival Cruise Line ships and innovative circular economy technology company, ecoSPIRITS.  The three-month long pilot will determine if re-usable containers – the ecoTOTE™ 3.0SC Cruise Edition, specifically developed by ecoSPIRITS for the maritime environment – can be used to serve BACARDĺ® rum on Carnival ships, in turn reducing single-use packaging by 95 percent. Cummins and Chevron Partner To Expand the Use of Low-Carbon Fuels

Global power technology leader Cummins Inc. and Chevron U.S.A. Inc., a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, have announced a memorandum of understanding to leverage complementary positioning in hydrogen, natural gas and other lower carbon fuel value chains. IFC Partners with the Banking Association South Africa to Boost Climate Finance

IFC is joining forces with the Banking Association South Africa (BASA) to help increase climate finance in the country and pave the way for a transition to a low carbon economy. Charity workers take 4% fewer annual leave days – despite allowance rising

New analysis of over 3,000 companies has revealed that the charity sector has seen one of the biggest dips in people taking annual leave in the last two years – despite an increased push on employee wellness.
