Kindling Farm has bought a 78-acre farm in Knowsley, between Manchester and Liverpool, which it will transform into an ambitious community-owned sustainable farming project. Backed by a £600,000 loan from Triodos Bank UK, Kindling Farm – and its 800 members – has purchased Barn Hey Farm with a vision to develop the site into a ‘farming blueprint for the future’ that is ecologically just, economically viable and socially inclusive.
