Aldi Removes Plastic From Its Beer And Cider

Aldi has removed all plastic packaging from its own-label four-pack beers and ciders to further reduce plastic waste. The UK’s fourth-largest supermarket has replaced the plastic shrink wrap and rings with a cardboard alternative. The packaging is fully recyclable at home and removes 95 tonnes of plastic packaging per year, as part of Aldi’s continuing efforts to reduce its environmental impact and develop alternative packaging for its products.
