Memory institutions, including archives, libraries, museums and research centres, are invited to apply for funding to enhance the protection of documentary heritage holdings (ancient books and manuscripts, government records, audiovisual materials and digital documents) at risk of deterioration or loss. WRAP recently announces a consultation on proposed changes and improvements to Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Measurement and Reporting Protocols for Food and Drink. Why: Since the original protocols were launched in May 2022, new guidance from the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Science Based Targets initiative and WRAP, has impacted how emissions should be measured. Cancer Research UK has started working with the Retail Trust to support the wellbeing of the thousands of volunteers and staff members at its 550+ UK shops. The new partnership will give Cancer Research UK’s 2,000 shop workers and 11,000 volunteers across the country access to personalised support from the Retail Trust. Older people’s charity Independent Age has announced the 27 community organisations that will receive cash as part of a new £1 million funding round.
