April Fool’s Day Gala with Rainer Hersch, in aid of Help Musicians

To celebrate April Fool’s Day, British conductor Rainer Hersch will be playing a special benefit gig for Help Musicians at the Cadogan Hall in London. During his esteemed career, Rainer has travelled the world performing as a conductor in comedy concerts and this April he brings the show to West London.

Joining Rainer onstage are Help Musicians Ambassador Dame Evelyn Glennie on percussion, radio presenter Zeb Soanes as the narrator and James Oldfield as the bass-baritone. The English Chamber Orchestra and Harry the Piano will also be playing the event.

Rainer has long been a supporter of the charity, so we feel very fortunate to be the beneficiary of what will be a brilliant night. The gala itself is guaranteed to be laugh-out-loud and full of fun and surprises. Tickets are available for both physical attendance and watching online — you can find links below.

Please join us for what promises to be a wonderful night of music and laughter.

As a professional musician, I am constantly reminded of the precariousness of our profession. It doesn’t take much to put us out of work and scrabbling to cover even the basics. Help Musicians is the only organisation which understands what it is like and can help when the going gets tough. We are doing this concert to return the favour and show off the brilliant musical talent we have in the UK
