CIPR PRide Awards celebrate Scotland’s thriving Public Relations industry

More than 300 PR professionals gathered at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow for the 2019 CIPR Scotland PRide Awards ceremony – the nation’s annual public relations showpiece.

Weber Shandwick Scotland were the big winners of the night, scooping five Gold Awards, including ‘Best Use of Social Media’ and ‘Best Use of Influencer Relations’ for their continued work with VELUX.

Holyrood PR took home four Gold Awards, whilst British Heart Foundation Scotland won a hat-trick for their “Scotland: A Nation of Lifesavers” campaign, raising awareness of the importance of bystander CPR to save lives and teaching CPR to every child in Scotland. Judges praised the campaign for showing “the power of PR at its best” and “making a real difference to Scottish lives”.

3×1 Group and Wheatley Group were crowned Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy and Outstanding In-House Public Relations Team, respectively.

In the individual categories, Holyrood PR’s Chris Fairbairn ACIPR was named Outstanding Young Communicator and James Donaldson took the title of Outstanding Independent Practitioner.

Congratulations to all our winners and runners-up in this year’s PRide Awards. Recognising the talents of PR practitioners across Scotland, it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate the success of the industry and those who work in it. We are always impressed by the high standard of entries from individuals, agencies and in-house teams. They displayed creativity, professionalism and demonstrated how PR can add organisational value giving our judges a real challenge to choose the winners.
