CIPR unveils new 2025-2029 strategy

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) has launched its new strategy for 2025-2029. Having worked on it with members, the strategy outlines the Institute’s vision to equip PR professionals worldwide to make a positive difference in business and society through chartership, innovation, and inclusion.

It is built on four strategic priorities: Chartership & Lifelong Learning, Leading Practice Development, Advocacy, and a Diverse and Collaborative Community. Through these pillars, the Institute will advance its journey towards making PR a predominantly chartered profession, support practitioners in adapting to technological changes including AI, act as a trusted voice for the industry, and work to remove barriers to entry within PR.

Key initiatives the Institute has planned for 2025 include raising the profile of chartered status and ensuring representation of Chartered Practitioners on boards, maintaining its position as the leading global AI training provider for PR professionals, continuing the ‘Lobbying for Good Lobbying’ campaign to support efforts to rebuild public trust, and working towards the renewal of its National Equality Standard accreditation in 2026.

Our new strategy responds to the evolving needs of our profession at a crucial time. By focusing on chartership, embracing technological innovation, and fostering inclusion, we’re ensuring PR practitioners have the support and recognition they need to succeed. Our commitment is to build a profession that looks to the future with confidence while maintaining the highest professional standards.
