Clear Channel and Curiosity UnLtd partner to launch Designs4Change competition marking 60 years since the Bristol Bus Boycott

Clear Channel UK and Curiosity UnLtd is calling all animators, illustrators, and graphic designers to commemorate the Bristol Bus Boycott as part of the latter’s flagship campaign, Bristol Bus Boycott 360.

Presented in partnership with Clear Channel, the campaign seeks to honour three of the UK’s most successful Black-led protests. This includes the victory of the Bristol Bus Boycott of 1963, Paul Stephenson’s one-man sit-in of the Bay Horse Pub in 1964, and the passing of the 1965 Race Relations Act.

Working with corporate, civic, and community changemakers, Curiosity Unltd is an award-winning Bristol-based think tank on a mission to bring conversations on racial equity and social justice to the table to make Bristol a better place to live for people of colour.

Honouring the city’s proud history of protest, the Designs4Change competition is looking for inspirational designs that pay tribute to the Bristol Bus Boycott and its significant contribution to racial equality in Britain.

The three winning designs will be displayed on 45 of Clear Channel’s digital screens at bus stops across Bristol. These screens will serve as a dynamic canvas for a city-wide art competition, amplifying the vibrant and varied perspectives that define Bristol’s extraordinary community.

Designs4Change underscores Clear Channel’s unwavering commitment to being a Platform for Good, championing and uplifting all members of the communities in which they operate.

Entries are open to all regardless of design style, talent level or background, and must be submitted by midnight, July 11, 2024. For more information, visit Curiosity Unltd’s website or click here
