IPA announces iList 2022 shortlist

Seventy-four inspirational inclusivity idols have been named on the shortlist for the IPA iList 2022.

The IPA iList, in partnership with Accenture Interactive and Campaign, aims to galvanise the industry into becoming a more inclusive, diverse place to work by celebrating and giving a platform to the role models who are changing our industry for the better.

Each of the outstanding ad practitioners on the 2022 IPA iList shortlist have demonstrated how they are shifting the culture within the industry and demanding better representation in creative work and will now be interviewed by some of the biggest names in DE&I from across the industry, chaired by IPA President Julian Douglas, before a celebration in May.

Commenting on the IPA iList 2022 shortlist:

Julian Douglas, IPA President, International CEO and Vice Chairman VCCP and Chair of Judges for the IPA iList: “We’ve seen a remarkable depth and quality of entries into this year’s IPA iList. Congratulations to those that have made the shortlist for their outstanding achievements and thank you to everyone that entered – you are all doing vitally important work to make the advertising industry a better, more inclusive place. What an inspiration!”

Liz Barnsdale, Managing Director, Accenture Interactive and IPA iList Judge: “It’s a real energiser to know there are so many people passionately challenging the systems of our industry to be more inclusive and diverse.”

Congratulations and a hearty thank you to all the changemakers who have made the shortlist.

Liz Barnsdale

Ete Davies, Former CEO, Engine Creative and IPA iList Judge: “This year’s iList nominations have been incredibly inspiring – particularly the work of many ‘less senior’ individuals who have single-handedly worked to tangibly advance their organizations to be more inclusive and empathetic –  changes being driven from a grassroots level that set the example for all of us, especially as leaders and those in senior positions.”

Vicki Holgate, Executive Strategy Director (Government Comms) at MullenLowe London and IPA iList Judge: “The entries for this year’s IPA iList were deeply impressive. The dedication demonstrated by every single entrant was amazing. There is so much that we can all learn from work that is already happening right across our industry. I came away feeling so excited and inspired.”

Leila Siddiqi, Associate Director – Diversity, IPA: “The last two years have exacerbated long-standing issues around diversity, equity and inclusion in our industry, so celebrating those that consistently go above and beyond to drive positive change has never been more important.”

Everyone on the IPA iList shortlist is making impactful, systemic progress, across different areas of D&I and we are very excited to be bringing them together to inspire and motivate the industry on this important topic area.
