To help Americans celebrate the United Nations’ International Day of Happiness, LG Electronics USA and Discovery Education present #DiscoverYourHappy, a Twitter and Instagram campaign encouraging everyone to share what happiness means to them.
On March 20th, voices across the country will be amplified by posting a photo or video on Twitter and Instagram expressing what makes them happy, with #DiscoverYourHappy and tagging LG Electronics USA (Twitter: @LGUS and Instagram: @LGUSA) and @DiscoveryEd. Together, the collection of responses will build an inspirational resource for others to connect with and learn about happiness. As part of LG’s science-based Life’s Good: Experience Happiness initiative, Discovery Education and LG also will be sharing tips and information about how to create lasting happiness.
LG’s unique corporate social responsibility platform, Life’s Good: Experience Happiness, helps bring scientific, evidence-based tools, and sustainable happiness skills directly to young people. Among other benefits, schools that incorporate happiness studies into their curriculum typically experience dramatic drops in bullying, absenteeism, and discipline issues, as well as impressive gains in student engagement, optimism and test scores.

#DiscoverYourHappy builds upon the Discover Your Happy program that provides curriculum and standards aligned resources teaching happiness as a skill at no cost to youth, educators, and families. As an extension of LG’s Life’s Good: Experience Happiness, the Discover Your Happy program offers science-based tools and activities aligned to the Six Sustainable Happiness skills: mindfulness, human connection, positive outlook, purpose, generosity, and gratitude.
