NSC Announces Finalists for 2023 Green Cross for Safety Awards

The National Safety Council is proud to announce the finalists for the 2023 Green Cross for Safety® awards, presented annually to individuals and organizations that have demonstrated leadership in keeping people safe on and off the job. 

“This year’s Green Cross for Safety award finalists put safety first so everyone can live their fullest lives, and that’s something to be proud of,” said Lorraine Martin, president and CEO of the National Safety Council. “It is our great privilege to recognize these teams for valuing safety every single day and thank them for all they do to keep workers safe on and off the job. We look forward to celebrating the presentation of the awards together in New Orleans.”

Finalists for the 2023 Green Cross for Safety awards are:     

Safety Advocate, sponsored by First Student – recognizes those who have made a significant impact on safety by raising awareness and bringing about change.

Safety Excellence, sponsored by UPS – recognizes a corporation, coalition or organization that relentlessly pursued safety.

● Anne Arundel County Government Risk Management

● Day & Zimmermann

● Walgreens 

Safety Innovation, sponsored by Amazon – recognizes a researcher, corporation or organization that approached a long-held challenge and developed a transformative response to the problem.

● APTIM 

● Clayton County Water Authority

● SoCalGas

The winner of each category will be announced at the 2023 Green Cross Celebration on Monday, Oct. 23. The event raises critical funds to support programs providing education, resources and tools to help individuals and employers keep people safe at work, on the road and everywhere in between.
