The National Safety Council is proud to announce a new partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration to advance safety for small businesses across the country. This new collaboration will enable both organizations to deliver tailored safety resources to small businesses, including training programs, workshops and best practice guidelines. NSC members will also benefit from exclusive access to SBA-sponsored events and training opportunities.
To commemorate the strategic alliance, a signing ceremony was held yesterday with Lorraine Martin, NSC president and CEO, and Francisco Sánchez Jr., associate administrator of the SBA Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience.
“We are thrilled to join forces with the SBA to ensure small businesses have access to the necessary tools and information to create safer work environments,” Martin said. “Safety is the cornerstone of every successful business. Through this partnership, we can extend the National Safety Council mission to thousands of small businesses across the country, helping them protect their most valuable asset – their people.”
The partnership aligns with the Council’s long-standing mission to prevent injuries and deaths in the workplace by leveraging its extensive knowledge of safety protocols and the SBA’s deep connection to the small business community.
“Small businesses are the heart of the American economy,” Sánchez said. “Through this invaluable partnership with the National Safety Council, we are not only expanding our reach but also reinforcing our commitment to helping small businesses thrive. By providing critical safety resources and expert guidance, we empower entrepreneurs to create workplaces where their teams can work confidently and securely. Together, we are building a foundation for sustainable growth, resilience and prosperity for small businesses across the nation.”
