Prince’s Trust launch Million Makers Christmas Card competition

The Prince’s Trust own Million Makers 2019 fundraising team is giving young people the opportunity to submit their creative designs for the chance to have their artwork featured on Christmas cards and tote bags that will be sold – with profits helping the charity help even more young people.

The competition is open to young people aged 18 and over, who are either currently on a Prince’s Trust programme or have been supported through our work in the past two years.

The competition runs from 15th July – 26th July, and has specific themes for young people to consider.

Theme

In order to focus the designs, there is one theme for the Christmas cards and one theme for the tote bags. Please keep these themes in mind as you create your artwork.

Christmas Card theme – ‘Through your eyes’

‘Through your eyes’ asks you to think about Christmas / the Festive period from your perspective. What is it about Christmas that you find particularly appealing? A successful design might look at one aspect of the festive period such as decorations, the winter climate or spending time with loved ones. The design should reflect what it is about the Festive period that makes it a special time for you.

Tote bag theme – ‘Green canvas’

Tote bags are an excellent alternative to a plastic bag – reusable and long-lasting. The theme ‘Green canvas’ allow the design of the bag to match the sustainable purpose of the product. A design entry might focus on the colour green or the idea of recycling and reusing. Some may choose to focus on the natural world and the greenery found within the environment.
