Procter & Gamble and Operation Homefront Launch ‘Start Strong, Stay Strong’ Campaign Supporting Military Mothers

The Procter & Gamble Company and Operation Homefront announce their “Start Strong, Stay Strong” campaign designed to create a network of support for military moms – online and in commissaries and exchanges around the world – to connect with their communities, explore local events and discover inspirational stories.

Joined by two-time U.S. Paralympic athlete, former U.S. Army officer and mom Melissa Stockwell, leaders from P&G and Operation Homefront will announce the campaign and the launch of the website, StartStrongPG.com, at the nonprofit’s 10th annual Military Child of the Year® Awards event on April 19. Ms. Stockwell will deliver keynote remarks.

“Military moms face many challenges during frequent relocations and deployments,” said Stockwell. “This campaign will provide much-needed resources and a community that welcomes and supports them. That’s why I’m proud to join P&G and Operation Homefront in supporting these special moms.”

Through the online community, StartStrongPG.com, military moms can access the information they need to start strong and stay strong – as a parent, spouse, advisor, and friend – wherever they live, all year long. They will discover things to do, and find local resources in their community, unlock savings, explore an online marketplace and much more.

“Procter & Gamble has a longstanding commitment to supporting the military and their families,” said Marc Knowles, Global Military Team Leader at Procter & Gamble. “We are proud to bring ‘Start Strong, Stay Strong’ to engage our military moms in the communities where they live, work and shop. By accompanying them along their journey, we can help keep their families strong.”

“We are thrilled to partner with an amazing team at Procter & Gamble to support, recognize, and celebrate military moms,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) John I. Pray, Jr., president and CEO of Operation Homefront. “Their Start Strong, Stay Strong’ initiative allows us to focus on meeting the needs of this very special group and will serve as a vital aspect of the work we do to strengthen military families.”
