Over Christmas soft drinks brand Rejuvenation Water joined forces with FareShare to create a ‘Reverse Advent Calendar,’ asking manufacturers to join them in donating food and drink items to FareShare – which were then redistributed to people in need through FareShare’s network of charities and community groups across the UK.

A huge thank you to Fullgreen, VITHIT, LioBites and Real Handful who all signed up and, together with Rejuvenation Water, donated a fantastic 6.37 tonnes of products to FareShare. That’s enough to help the charities FareShare supports provide an estimated 15,167 meals for vulnerable people.
Kris Ingham, Founder of Rejuvenation Water, said: “I am extremely humbled by the work of FareShare and with Christmas often highlighting the depth of poverty around the UK, I felt an urge to give back and support this fantastic cause. My aim was to bring the food and drink industry together to support FareShare with this appeal.”
Alyson Walsh, FareShare Commercial Director, said: “Most of the food FareShare sends to charities is fresh surplus food, like fruit and vegetables. While these obviously have high nutritional value, the organisations we support also need store-cupboard essentials to help them prepare balanced and varied meals for the people accessing their services – particularly during the colder months when demand is higher than usual.”
