The first report of Third Sector Trends 2025 shows partnership working among third sector organisations and relationships with local government are weakening.   Third Sector Trends, the groundbreaking study of the sector facilitated and co-funded by Community Foundation North East, surveys the sector every three years to explore patterns and changes. Asda’s winter fruit and veg pledge returns to fight food poverty

Asda is bringing back its “Winter Fruit and Veg pledge” and will once again donate the equivalent of one million meals at the start of this year, as part of its partnership with FareShare and the Coronation Food Project. Corporate climate action momentum builds as SBTi reaches 10,000 companies with validated targets

Worldwide, 10,000 companies now have validated science-based targets, demonstrating that corporate climate action continues to scale globally. The number of companies with science-based targets validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) globally has reached 10,000. Some of the world’s most recognizable names have set targets including the likes Arsenal Football Club, Danone, ING, Lenovo, McLaren Racing, and Ørsted.
