IPA appoints Denise Turner as new Media Research Director

The IPA has announced the appointment of Denise Turner as its new Media Research Director. Turner joins the IPA from Route where she has been CEO since June 2022. She succeeds Belinda Beeftink, who retired at the end of 2024, and will join the team once she has completed her notice period at Route. Iberdrola and Amazon further expand their global renewable energy partnership and harness the AWS cloud to scale Iberdrola’s business

Amazon and Iberdrola, one of the world’s largest clean energy companies, have added an additional 476 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy PPAs (power purchase agreements) to their global renewable energy partnership, expanding its presence into five countries.  The new power purchase agreements include Amazon’s first PPA in Portugal for 219 MW from the Tâmega Wind Complex, the largest wind farm in Portugal, scheduled to begin construction in early 2025. Onshore wind developer launches charitable initiative

A renowned renewables firm has announced the launch of a brand-new charitable initiative, which will see its staff support two local charities in Scotland and England this year.   Scottish staff at OnPath Energy will volunteer and fundraise for Beatson Cancer Charity, which supports people affected by cancer through specialist care, research for communities across Scotland. 350,000 trees planted and many more to come as The Tree Council and Network Rail renew partnership
