Apple and global suppliers expand renewable energy to 13.7 gigawatts

Apple has announced its manufacturing partners now support over 13 gigawatts of renewable electricity around the world, a nearly 30 percent increase in the last year. In total, more than 250 suppliers operating across 28 countries are committed to using renewable energy for all Apple production by 2030. Apple will use 100 percent recycled cobalt in batteries by 2025

Apple has announced a major acceleration of its work to expand recycled materials across its products, including a new 2025 target to use 100 percent recycled cobalt1 in all Apple-designed batteries.
