Earth Overshoot Day 2018 is August 1, the earliest date ever

On August 1, humanity will use nature’s resource budget for the entire year, according to Global Footprint Network, a research organization that pioneered the Ecological Footprint resource accounting metric. Global Footprint Network, an international research organization, is marking Earth Overshoot Day with the launch of a new mobile-friendly Footprint calculator at www.footprintcalculator.org.
