Morrisons is working with its own-brand suppliers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as part of its commitment to lower the amount of carbon emitted in its wider supply chain. Morrisons trials seaweed animal feed for more climate-friendly cows

Morrisons is working with Queen’s University Belfast on a three-year trial looking at the use of seaweed from the UK in helping to reduce methane production in cattle. Morrisons will become the first supermarket to own its own recycling operations through the acquisition of a significant stake in a new recycling site in Fife. The site will reprocess ‘hard-to-recycle’ soft plastics.
