Royal Mail charges up its fleet with ten-fold increase in electric vehicles

Royal Mail has announced a ten-fold increase in the number of electric vehicles it runs across its UK fleet with plans to introduce around 3,000 additional, low-emission vans throughout the UK.  The vehicles, liveried in traditional Royal Mail red, are a new chapter in the Company’s ongoing drive to reduce its operational emissions still further. Royal Mail switches on all-electric company car schemes

Royal Mail has announced a new initiative to ensure all its company cars will be electric by 2030. The move comes as the Company builds on its ambitions to become a net zero carbon emission business with a 100% alternative fuel fleet. Royal Mail is expanding its use of low emission vehicles, with the addition of 29 gas-powered trucks, fuelled by Bio-Compressed Natural Gas (Bio-CNG), to its fleet. Royal Mail Installs Efficiency-Boosting Technology Across Its Fleet To Further Reduce Emissions

Royal Mail is rolling out telemetry technology to an additional 11,000 small vans to encourage more fuel-efficient driving styles across the UK. The latest expansion will be using the Trimble Telemetry system.
