Tesco is stepping in to help families struggling with the cost-of-living by donating almost 4,000 brand new F&F coats to people in need. The supermarket is giving around 2,000 coats to the Salvation Army and 1,000 to the food charity FareShare, which will distribute the warm clothing to its network of charities and community groups across the UK. 30 million meals rescued through Tesco’s partnership with waste-busting app Olio

Tens of thousands of ‘Food Waste Hero’ volunteers have now stopped more than 30 million meals from going to waste, thanks to a pioneering partnership between Tesco and the leading free sharing app Olio. Tesco launches UK’s largest low-carbon fertiliser roll-out to increase food security and cut the carbon footprint of its veg

Tesco is partnering with five of its largest field veg suppliers to launch the UK’s biggest ever commercial roll-out of low-carbon fertiliser, which will contribute to boosting the UK’s food security, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions in its supply chain. Tesco to use discarded plastic collected from coastal areas in fresh fish packaging

Plastic waste such as drinks bottles which is at risk of getting into the sea, is now being collected and recycled and used again in Tesco’s fresh fish packaging.  From January many of the supermarket’s fresh Salmon, Haddock, Cod and Sea Bass lines will be sold for the first time in trays that contain at least 30% Recycled Coastal Plastic collected from beaches, coastlines, and coastal communities around the Mediterranean Sea.  The move into the new packaging is expected to remove around 500 metric tonnes of plastic from the environment…
