Tesco creates 16,000 new permanent roles

Tesco has announced that it will create 16,000 new permanent roles to support the exceptional growth in its online business. These 16,000 jobs are in addition to the 4,000 permanent jobs already created since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tesco announces extension of improved payment terms for small suppliers

Tesco has announced it will be extending its improved payment terms for its smaller suppliers until 31 January 2021. Nearly 2,000 suppliers will continue to have their invoices paid immediately, instead of the usual 14 days. Tesco reaches 50 million milestone for meal donations

Tesco has donated more than 50 million meals of surplus food from its stores to charities and community groups over the past five years, the supermarket revealed today. The food has been donated through the Community Food Connection scheme it operates with food redistribution charity FareShare.
