Tokio Marine HCC International selects Lamp as a charity partner

Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI), a leading specialty insurance group with UK offices in Rearsby, London and Bridgend, has chosen to continue its charity partnership with Lamp (Leicestershire Action for Mental Health Project). The company has donated £22,000 to Lamp over a two-year period, as well as raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues and organising fundraising activities.

Working with Lamp to raise awareness of their mental health support projects, the Leicestershire-based employees are planning on attending coffee mornings and educational workshops. TMHCCI staff have also raised funds for Lamp through initiatives such as Give an Hour, a scheme where individuals can donate an hour of their pay and Tokio Marine HCC International will match the contribution.

Millie Deare, Corporate Social Responsibility Assistant for TMHCCI said: “Awareness of mental health has dramatically increased with the onset of the pandemic and multiple lockdowns. Health and wellbeing is one of the core pillars of our company’s charity programme so Lamp’s mental health advocacy support services make them a great fit as a charity partner.

“We’re delighted to support the charity’s efforts in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, and look forward to learning more from them.”

Commenting on the continuing partnership, Matt Barton, Operations Officer at Lamp added: “The donations and fundraising from the team at Tokio Marine HCC International are vital to a local charity such as ours. We look forward to working with them to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing amongst their UK staff and beyond.”
