The Women’s Equality Party (WEP) has created an activist campaign to time with President Trump’s visit to the UK.
‘Thank You Trump’ is a call to action, showing how the sexism and misogyny of the President of the United States is proving an effective recruitment tool in converting many thousands of women and men to the cause of feminism and to fight Trump’s attempts to roll back women’s rights.
The work is created by Now, the creative agency behind this year’s Cannes-winning ‘Out of Office’ campaign that highlighted the gender pay gap.
The campaign will feature slogans such as ‘Thank you Trump – For Being the Orange Beacon of Feminism’ and ‘Thank you Trump – For Your Motivational Tweets’ and ‘Thank You Trump – For Giving Feminism a Little Hand’, a satirical take on the president’s unintentional role in fuelling the unstoppable global feminist movement.
The campaign will run across social media, online and out of home, including protest placards and a giant Thank You card which WEP will parade at the Women’s March on Friday before delivering it to Trump in Scotland on his golf trip.

WEP is a political party founded by comedian, broadcaster and author Sandi Toksvig and author and journalist Catherine Mayer. It campaigns for gender equality for the good of all.
