Hertz and Uber Expand Partnership to Bring Up To 25,000 Electric Vehicles to European Capitals

Uber leaks reveal “easily exploitable” lobbying rules says CIPR

A report in the Guardian – ‘Osborne, Hancock and other ministers did not declare secret Uber meetings’ – reveal leaked documents that expose the “easily exploitable” lobbying rules in the UK, according to the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). The article shows that meetings with ministers held between 2014 and 2016 were not declared, despite the presence of consultant lobbyists at some of the meetings. Uber joins London boroughs in £5 million EV charger boost

Hundreds of new electric-vehicle (EV) chargers are to be installed across north and east London, following a landmark agreement between Uber and three London boroughs.  Over 700 fast EV chargers will be installed on streets in Newham, Brent, and Redbridge, boosting London’s overall charging network by over 7%. The 700 new chargers are the result of a £5 million investment from Uber, working in close collaboration with each borough to determine where chargers should be installed.
