Scottish Government seek to tackle the gender gap in business

New measures to support women in enterprise have been announced by Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. A range of projects will share in £230,000 of funding to tackle the gender gap and help break down some of the barriers which can prevent women achieving equality in business. 36 major brands and retailers have now signed up to the 100% by 2025 pledge, including four of Forbes magazine’s list of the world’s ten largest global apparel brands , and three of the top 10 UK clothing retailers. UK students to write poems to protest Egyptian government’s human rights abuses

Amnesty International UK has today launched an innovative poetry and human rights education project, Words That Burn, that will connect students with individuals from around the world who are suffering human rights abuses and help young people discover that their words can make a difference.
